City Leads are the people who make it happen locally: they host the workshops, grow the crew, back the Student Ambassadors on every campus, and open doors with partners. If you love bringing people together, this is your role. 🙌

The role

What a City Lead actually does

A City Lead and a Co Lead share the work. Over roughly six months you will:

Host workshops

Plan and run hands-on Canva sessions, from venue to attendance to the follow-up. We fund the logistics.

Back the ambassadors

Be the first call for Student Ambassadors on your campuses. Unblock them, show up for their events, celebrate their wins.

Open doors

Bring in universities, co-working spaces, incubators and communities as partners and venues.

Grow the crew

Keep the city WhatsApp group alive, welcome new members, and make every newcomer feel like they belong.

Represent Canva

Be the friendly, credible face of Canva locally, with our training, brand kit and support behind you.

Shape what comes next

Your ideas on what your city needs go straight to the Canva Pakistan team. Leads have started most of what we run.

Who should apply

Sound like you?

  • You have organised things before: events, societies, meetups, campaigns
  • You know people in your city and they pick up when you call
  • You are comfortable speaking to a room and leading a group
  • You care about design, creativity and teaching
  • You can give this six to ten sessions over about six months

Apply to be a City Lead

Ten minutes. Be yourself, we are looking for energy and care, not polish.

We reply to everyone. Selection depends on the cities we are opening and the room we have, never on how polished your form is.

It is a volunteer leadership role. There is no salary, but events are funded, you get swag and training, and the experience is real: leads have gone on to jobs, Canvassador status and speaking slots.
