Affinity is the professional design, photo and layout app from Canva, and it is free for individuals. We are looking for students at design, art and architecture departments to open Affinity on their campus: run sessions, start a chapter, and give classmates a legal, professional tool to build their careers on.

Saudi Arabia is investing in design, architecture, media and entertainment at a pace few countries have matched, and the students in its design, art and architecture programmes will do that work. Affinity Designer, Photo and Publisher are free for individuals, so the only thing between a student and a professional tool is knowing it exists. That happens on campus, from a classmate, not from an ad.

Who this is for
Students who already make things.
This programme is for students of design, art and related creative departments: the people who will be professional designers in a few years and are choosing their tools right now. If you are in a studio, a lab or a critique every week, you are who we are looking for.
Any university in Saudi Arabia with a design, art, architecture or media department can have an ambassador. Sessions can run in Arabic, English or both.
The role
What an ambassador actually does.

Run Affinity sessions
Hands-on sessions for your department: Designer, Photo and Publisher on real briefs. Decks and exercises are ready; you bring the room.

Start the campus chapter
A small Affinity community on your campus: a group, a monthly meet-up, a place where work gets shared and critiqued.

Get your classmates on Affinity
Show people the free, legal, professional alternative, and help them make their first real piece in it.

Feed the Design Challenge
When the national Affinity Design Challenge runs, your campus is a local round. You help entries get made and shown.

Showcase the work
Collect the best student work made in Affinity for features, exhibitions and the national showcase.

Connect the campus
Be the link between your faculty, your societies and the Affinity and Canva Saudi Arabia team.
Two to three sessions a term, a monthly meet-up, and a short note after each so the next ambassador starts ahead.

Is Affinity really free?
Yes. Affinity by Canva is free for individuals, with Designer, Photo and Publisher in one app. No subscription, no trial clock.
Is this a job?
It is a community role, like our Canva Student Ambassadors: no salary, but real training, a kit, an official appointment, mentorship and features, and a head start on the national Affinity Design Challenge.
I am not in a design department.
This programme is for design, art, architecture and related creative departments, because that is where professional design tools are chosen. For everything else, the Canva Saudi Arabia ambassador programme is open to every campus (/ksa).
How much time does it take?
Whenever you are comfortable. The usual rhythm is two to three sessions a term plus a monthly meet-up. The team confirms every date with you well in advance.
